Blackwater Bossing showed no mercy on Saturday night as Rey David and James Escoto delivered standout performances to help secure a dominant win against the struggling TerraFirma Dyip, whose campaign appears all but over in the 2025 PBA Philippine Cup.

David came out firing with 21 points, shooting efficiently from midrange and deep, while Escoto anchored the paint with a double-double performance, grabbing key rebounds and controlling the tempo on both ends.
“We wanted to finish strong,” said David post-game. “Coach reminded us that every game counts, especially in this tight race.”
With the win, Blackwater now improves their standings and keeps playoff hopes alive, while TerraFirma remains at the bottom of the league with just a single win this conference—a tough blow for a team that showed flashes of promise early in the season.
TerraFirma’s offense faltered under pressure, and the lack of bench support once again became a glaring issue. Despite a valiant effort from Juami Tiongson and company, the Dyip couldn’t keep up with Blackwater’s pace and ball movement.
Escoto, who finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds, praised the team’s improved chemistry:
“We’ve been working hard in practice. Tonight was just a result of staying locked in and trusting each other.”
With only a few games left in the elimination round, Blackwater is still in the hunt. But for TerraFirma, all signs point to an early exit—unless a miracle turnaround happens.
📌 Game Highlights:
- Rey David: 21 PTS, 3 AST, 2 STL
- James Escoto: 14 PTS, 12 REB
- Blackwater team: 52% FG, 24 assists
- TerraFirma: 19 turnovers, 35% FG
